Thousands interested in a new type of electricity package
In mid-March, Enefit announced the launch of a new electricity package, Seasonal Secure, which benefits from low summer prices on the stock exchange and provides price stability in winter. Thousands of people registered their interest, many of whom have now subscribed to the electricity package.
"When we announced the new electricity package to the public, many existing and new customers showed their interest in the first few weeks," said Roul Tutt, Enefit's Board Member for Home Market Sales. "At Enefit, we always want to offer solutions that are useful and driven by our customers' needs. According to our customer service consultants, many customers have said that the new electricity package is convenient for them and gives them a sense of security," he added.
According to Tutt, the idea of creating a dynamic electricity package came from analysing customers' habits. "We have a number of customers who, over the years, choose an exchange package in spring and fix the price in autumn," said Tutt. "Among numerous everyday chores, thinking about your electricity package twice a year seems unnecessary inconvenience. So we decided to make life easier for our customers and put together an electricity package that allows them to consume electricity at the exchange price in the spring and summer months, and gives them peace of mind against price fluctuations in autumn and winter," Tutt said.
The seasonal electricity package is environmentally friendly, based on 100% renewable energy, and also provides additional peace of mind as it includes insurance for household electrical appliances. It compensates for damage to household appliances and appliances caused by lightning, short circuit, overload or undervoltage. It also covers the cost of repairing or replacing damaged electrical installations, including the cost of an electrician’s call-out. The monthly fee for the electricity package is the same as for other Enefit electricity packages, two euros and two cents. From the beginning of April until the end of September, customers consume electricity at the exchange price (plus the usual margin) and from the beginning of October until the end of March the electricity price is fixed.
Customers will be informed of the price for the fixed period in sufficient time and Enefit will ensure that the price is the same or lower than the Fixed6 fixed package offered at the same time. The Seasonal Secure electricity package contract is open-ended. During the spring and summer months, it is possible to opt out of the electricity package free of charge, while in the fixed price period, opting out of the package will incur an early termination fee.
Anyone wishing to find out more about the Seasonal Secure electricity package and to sign a contract can do so conveniently on the Enefit website or by calling customer service.
