Raido Ivalo appointed as a member of the Management Board and Head of Business Technology and IT of Eesti Energia
Raido Ivalo will assume the position of a member of the Management Board and Head of Business Technology and IT of Eesti Energia from April 1.
According to Andrus Durejko, Chairman of the Management Board of Eesti Energia, information technology provides a significant competitive advantage in the energy sector, enabling faster and more efficient entry into the energy world based on green energy and smart customer solutions.
"Information and communication technologies have become an organic part of the energy world, and their role is growing every day. For energy companies, this means new challenges, centered around designing complex IT systems to be sustainable and easy and convenient for customers and employees to use. Raido Ivalo's international experience, work principles focused on achieving business goals, and a strong background in developing processes create conditions for taking Eesti Energia group's business development and IT sector to a new level," said Durejko.
Ivalo joins Eesti Energia from the international IT company Twilio, where since 2020 he has served as the head of the software developers team. Between 2006 and 2020, he worked in various roles within the Ericsson group, most recently as the Head of IoT Technical Operations.

The structure of the Management Board of Eesti Energia will change from April. All development projects related to chemical industry and circular economy will be moved under the responsibility of Enefit Power. In connection with the change, Raine Pajo will leave the position of Board Member at the end of March and will continue as a member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee of Enefit Green, a subsidiary of Eesti Energia.
The Management Board consisting of six members elected by the company's Supervisory Board is responsible for the executive management of Eesti Energia. The Chairman of the Management Board is Andrus Durejko, and the members of the Board are Kelli Toss-Kaasik, Marlen Tamm, Kristjan Kuhi, Andres Vainola and since April 1, Raido Ivalo, as the Head of Business Technology and IT.
