Some electricity invoices for February contained an error

Due to a technical error, nearly a third of Enefit’s electricity sales customers received an inaccurate electricity invoice for February, with an error in the monthly fee. Customers do not have to worry about making adjustments in the invoice amount as Enefit will automatically correct the possible billing error in the next month’s invoice.

‘The February invoices, which were sent at the beginning of March, indicated that the customer’s electricity and/or network package fee was a few tens of cents higher than it should have been. We will automatically refund the overpaid amount to the customer with the next invoice. In other words, we will automatically correct our mistake, so customers do not need to take any action themselves. Although we are talking about small amounts, I understand that this creates unnecessary confusion for our customers. Unfortunately, such errors are a part of today’s technical world. I sincerely apologise for the error,’ said Santa Tohver, Head of the Estonian Market at Enefit.

We will notify all customers who were affected by the error and received an inaccurate invoice in writing.
