Väino Kaldoja will continue as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia

On the meeting held on Wednesday, the new Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia elected entrepreneur Väino Kaldoja, who also chaired the work of the previous Supervisory Board, as a chairman.

"I thank the members of the Supervisory Board for their trust. The current economic environment poses serious challenges for Eesti Energia. The management and energy experience and knowledge of the members of the Supervisory Board helps guide the company's activities and, if necessary, support the executive management with advice,” said Väino Kaldoja.

Väino Kaldoja has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia since September 2015 and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board since May 2017. Kaldoja is the founder of Silberauto, the Chairman of the Board of the Estonian Business Association and a long-term Member of the Board of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In addition to Kaldoja, the Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia includes Raigo Uukkivi, Meelis Einstein, Ants Pauls, Andres Liinat, Ivo Palu and Einari Kisel.

The General Meeting of Eesti Energia appointed members of the Supervisory Board on 7th May. The term of office of the members of the Supervisory Board began on May 12 and is valid for two years.
