Eesti Energia has signed a new loan agreement with European Investment Bank (EIB) in the amount of 175 million euros to finance investment into distribution network. Maximum tenor of the debt facility is 20 years, availability period of the loan is 2 years. The loan will be disbursed on a needs basis during the availability period by Eesti Energia.

Eesti Energia and European Investment Bank share a long history of co-operation. EIB remains a lender of strategic importance to the Eesti Energia Group. Since 2004 Eesti Energia and EIB have signed five loan agreements in total amounting to 500 million euros to fund electricity network and power generation investments.
