The award was accepted by Karla Agan, Head of the Energy Sales Division at Eesti Energia, who considers it to be a major acknowledgement. “Estonia is renowned around the world for its e-solutions, which have also been applied successfully in the field of energy. It is good to know that we are noticed and appreciated,” says Agan.

Eesti Energia’s mobile app allows one to keep an eye on electricity consumption with the accuracy of one hour, enabling one to change their consumption behaviour based on the consumption information provided, thereby saving on energy costs. Eesti Energia’s mobile app may be used by all household clients who have concluded a contract with Eesti Energia.

The World Government Summit was held this year for the fifth time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with more than 3000 people from 130 countries participating. At this high-level meeting of public and private sector leaders, debates were held about opportunities for shaping a better future for future generations, best practices were shared, and various smart solutions were presented. Presenters at the event included, among others, the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, President of the World Bank, Dr Jim Kim, and the CEO of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde.
